Devotion

I stand here, night and day
Waiting for you to come to me
I know that the day will come
Our patience shall set us free

You are all around me,
Wherever I turn, I feel you there

I can sense you ever so near to me
The air, as I breathe in, carries your scent
With each drop of heavens bath,
I absorb the richness of your redolence
I hear the gentle calling of your voice
Along the whisper of leaves this year
They have on them, the taste of your name
And with each gasp of nature, they ring clear

I feel you reaching out to me
The limbs of your love run their fingertips
Flowing across my skin
With the crispness of a snow fed stream

When I hold you in my arms
My breath of life is at peace, complete
Devotion to you, like a forest, runs deep with
Love's passion rooted ardently within my soul
